ARGEMA metal detector system
The ARGEMA metal detector system is an important safety and quality control device used in textile spinning lines, mainly in the blow room section before the carding machines.
Its primary purpose is to detect and remove metal contaminants from raw cotton or fibers during processing. The system works by creating an electromagnetic detection field; when metal particles such as iron, steel, aluminum, or copper pass through this field, it causes a disturbance that the detector immediately recognizes. Once metal is detected, the system can trigger an alarm, stop the machine, or activate an automatic diverting mechanism to remove the contaminated material from the fiber flow. This helps protect expensive spinning machinery, such as carding machines and draw frames, from serious damage caused by metal fragments.
ARGEMA detectors are designed with high sensitivity sensors, adjustable detection settings, and durable industrial construction, allowing them to operate continuously in dusty textile environments. By preventing metal contamination from entering the spinning process, the system helps reduce maintenance costs, avoid production interruptions, and maintain consistent yarn quality. As a result, ARGEMA metal detectors play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operation, machine protection, and improved product quality in modern spinning mills.
